Buying coloured lenses online is easy. Buying the right pair takes a few checks. Before you order from any brand, look for these eight things.

1. Power

Coloured lenses are either zero power, which only change your eye colour, or made in a prescription power. If you need glasses to see clearly, zero power lenses won't correct your vision. All april. lenses are zero power (0.00). Read more about zero power lenses and who can wear them.

2. Lens size

Check the lens diameter (DIA) and, if listed, the graphic diameter. Together they decide how the lens fits and how big the colour looks. Every april. lens has a 14.2 mm diameter and an 8.8 mm base curve. Here's what graphic diameter means.

3. Material and water content

The product page should tell you what the lens is made of and its water content. april. lenses are made with soft Hydrogel material and 42% water content, using Korean technology.

4. How long a pair lasts

Some lenses are thrown away after a day or a month. Others last longer with proper care. A pair of april. lenses can be worn for up to 12 months with daily cleaning and proper storage.

5. Whether the colour will show on dark eyes

Many lens photos are taken on light eyes, so the colour looks very different on dark brown eyes. Look for real-eye photos and before-and-after images on dark eyes. 6. What comes in the box

You'll need solution and a case from day one. Every pair of april. lenses comes with a 60 ml lens solution and a lens case.

7. Delivery, payment and returns

Check delivery charges, how long orders take, whether cash on delivery is available and what the return policy says.
