about april

What are April coloured contact lenses?

April creates coloured contact lenses designed to enhance your natural eye colour while keeping the result beautiful and wearable. Our shades are created with dark eyes in mind, so you can explore different looks without losing the natural character of your eyes.

Are April lenses made for dark eyes?

Yes. April shades are selected specifically with dark eyes in mind, including naturally brown and deep brown eyes.

The final result will vary depending on your natural eye colour, lighting and the shade you choose.

Where are April lenses made?

April contact lenses are manufactured in Korea using Korean contact lens technology. Our lenses are made by a manufacturer operating under established quality and medical-device manufacturing standards.

shades & choosing your colour

Will April lenses show on dark brown eyes?

Yes. April's coloured lenses are selected to create a visible colour effect on dark eyes.

Some shades create a softer enhancement while others produce a more noticeable transformation, so the final effect will depend on both your natural eye colour and the shade you choose.

How do I choose the right shade?

Start with the kind of effect you want. Browns and hazels generally create a warmer, softer change, while greys, greens and blues can create a more noticeable transformation.

You can also use our Virtual Try-On to explore different April shades before choosing your pair.

Will the colour look exactly the same on my eyes as it does in the photos?

Not necessarily. Coloured contact lenses interact with your natural iris, so the same shade can look slightly different from one person to another.

Your natural eye colour, lighting, camera settings and screen display can also affect how a shade appears.

Can I try a shade before buying it?

You can virtually explore April shades using our Virtual Try-On feature. It gives you an idea of how different colours may look on your eyes before you choose your pair.

The Virtual Try-On is a visual guide rather than an exact representation of the final colour.

How does Virtual Try-On work?

Open our Virtual Try-On, allow camera access or upload a suitable photo, and select the shades you'd like to see. The tool digitally applies the selected colour to your eyes so you can compare different looks.

Results are approximate and can vary depending on your camera, lighting, natural eye colour and device.

product & comfort

What material are April lenses made from?

April coloured contact lenses are made from Hydrogel, a soft contact lens material designed for comfortable wear when used and cared for correctly. Always follow the wearing and care instructions provided with your lenses.

What is the water content of April lenses?

April lenses have a 42% water content.

Water content is one of several characteristics that affect how a contact lens behaves on the eye, alongside material, fit and individual eye conditions.

What are the diameter and base curve?

April lenses have a 14.2 mm diameter (DIA) and an 8.8 mm base curve (BC).

These measurements describe the physical dimensions and curvature of the contact lens.

Can I wear April lenses every day?

Contact lens suitability and comfortable wearing time can vary from person to person. Follow the wearing schedule and instructions supplied with your lenses and do not wear them for longer than recommended.

If you experience persistent discomfort, redness, pain or unusual irritation, remove the lenses and seek advice from a qualified eye-care professional.

wearing & caring for your lenses

How do I put in my April lenses?

Always wash and thoroughly dry your hands before handling your lenses. Place the lens on a clean fingertip, check that it is facing the correct way, gently hold your eyelids open and carefully place the lens onto your eye.

Follow the complete instructions provided with your lenses, particularly if you are new to contact lenses.

How do I remove my lenses?

Wash and thoroughly dry your hands first. Look slightly upward, gently slide the lens toward the lower white part of your eye and carefully remove it using your fingertips.

Never use sharp objects or fingernails to remove your lenses.

How should I clean and store my lenses?

Reusable lenses should be cleaned and stored using a fresh contact lens solution suitable for soft contact lenses and kept in a clean lens case.

Never use tap water, saliva or previously used solution to clean or store your lenses. Follow the care instructions provided with your lenses and lens solution.

Can I sleep while wearing April lenses?

No. Unless a qualified eye-care professional has specifically instructed otherwise for an approved extended-wear lens, contact lenses should be removed before sleeping.

Sleeping in lenses that are not designed for overnight wear can increase the risk of eye irritation and infection.

Can I shower or swim while wearing my lenses?

Avoid exposing your contact lenses to water, including while swimming or showering. Water can introduce microorganisms and contaminants to the lenses and your eyes.

Remove your lenses before swimming or showering and handle them again only with clean, dry hands.

What should I do if my lenses feel uncomfortable?

Remove the lens if you experience persistent discomfort, pain, significant redness, excessive watering or unusual irritation. Check that the lens is clean, undamaged and correctly oriented before considering reinsertion according to the product instructions.

If symptoms continue after removing the lens, stop wearing it and consult a qualified eye-care professional.

returns, exchanges & order issues

Can I return or exchange my contact lenses?

Because contact lenses are hygiene-sensitive personal-use products, we cannot accept general returns or exchanges.

Returns, replacements or refunds may be considered if the product you receive is damaged, defective or incorrect, subject to our Refund & Return Policy.

Can I exchange my lenses if I don't like the colour?

No. We cannot accept returns or exchanges because of shade preference or because a colour looks different on your eyes than expected.

The final appearance of coloured contact lenses varies depending on natural eye colour, lighting and other individual factors. We recommend using our Virtual Try-On and reviewing the product images before choosing your shade.

What if my order arrives damaged or defective?

Please contact April Customer Support as soon as possible and provide your order number, clear photos or videos of the issue, and images of the original packaging.

Our team will review the claim and, if approved, arrange an appropriate replacement or refund according to our Refund & Return Policy.

What if I receive the wrong shade or product?

Please contact April Customer Support if the product you receive is different from what you ordered. Keep the product unopened and retain all original packaging while your request is being reviewed.

Once the issue has been verified, our team will arrange the appropriate resolution.

What if there is a problem with only one lens?

If one of your lenses appears damaged or defective, stop using it and contact April Customer Support. Please keep both lenses and their original packaging, as we may need photos, videos, batch information or other details to investigate the issue.

Our team will review the information and advise you on the next step.
